I think I would have added a tiny bit of drama, like Naomi questioning herself slightly and Emily trying to decide whether or not she deserves that treatment (which can happen in any relationship and it would flow better with each character), but it would only cause them to grow stronger and closer together. I would dedicate more time to their relationship rather than wrecking them in the second episode and only showing scenes of Emily crying for ten seconds until the finale where they got a bonus thirty seconds to kiss and make up and tada that’s it. I mean they spent all of the third series building them up in the correct manner, taking things slow but naturally, and ended it on a solid note. I would have liked to see the same out of the fourth series. Just because they got together and said ‘I love you’ doesn’t mean that there aren’t any other boundaries to cross and obstacles to hurdle. There are always steps in a relationship to reach for, but it seemed the Skins writers felt they were too perfect and their relationship had already progressed as much as it could, therefore the only thing they could think of was an affair. Fucking. Lame.
